This post is about the freedom you can enjoy as an affiliate marketer. While the majority of people are stuck with a 9 to 5 job, YOU as an online marketer are not. You can be as free as you want to be and enjoy more of your life.
On Sept. 26th we (My wife and I) decided to travel to The Netherlands to visit family and friends. Once there we were having such a great time we simply decided to extend our holiday with an extra week. Now if you like to travel online marketing is something you definitely need to look into. You can read my story below.
I used to be stuck in a 9 to 5 job working as a Software Technical Analyst for FileMaker (Apple Product). After years of spending 3 to 4 hours a day travelling to and from work, I thought there must be a better way to live and I started my involvement with online marketing as an affiliate.
Now I’m not going to tell you it was all hunky dory from the get-go… Absolutely not. What I will tell you is that it was great fun and I learned a lot about marketing. There were a few ups and downs as Google keeps changing their “ranking factors” and my affiliate sites would start out great and later “tank” after the more severe updates.
Fast forward to today I’ve pretty much figured out how to rank affiliate sites and keep them there no matter what update Google comes out with next. It is actually simpler than it seems. Just give people the information they’re looking for and do it in a way that’s unique to you and you will pretty soon start making money. Once you start making money you simply “rinse and repeat”.
At the beginning it may be a lot less than what you’re used to, but the important thing is perseverance. Determination and just plain stubbornness is a recommendable quality for anyone starting out in this business. It makes the whole difference between the 5% that make money and the 95% that quit without ever making a single dime.
When you start making money consistently, you’re free. Now you can work from wherever you are and at your own times. On this particular trip we’ve decide to prolong our holiday with another week and guess what… last week I just noticed we had a little over $2000.00 MORE than before we left on holiday.
I this post you can see me enjoying breaded fish on a market in Rotterdam.
